SunTek Carbon on the sides and back of a standard four-door sedan or four-door truck is $275 plus tax at Aladdins. SUV sides and back is $359 plus tax. Those prices include professional film installation on the side windows and rear glass. The front windshield, visor strip, roof glass and removal of existing film are separate.
If you’re comparing car window tinting prices in Phoenix, Peoria or Glendale, here’s a practical starting point. We’ll explain what the coverage includes, what changes the total and when you might want to consider a different film. Automotive installations take place at our Peoria shop.

What does “sides and back” include?
I say “sides and back” when I explain a quote because I want you to picture the windows we’re actually working on. It makes the coverage clear before we start comparing film options.
- Four-door sedan: the front and rear side windows, including fixed side glass where fitted, and the rear windshield. The front windshield and roof glass are separate.
- Four-door truck: the front and rear side windows and rear cab glass. A one-piece rear window and a three-piece rear window with a slider are treated the same.
- SUV: the side windows, rear quarter glass and rear window. Roof glass and the front windshield are separate.
On a truck or SUV with factory privacy glass, sides and back includes applying film over that rear glass too. If you only want the front door windows done, that’s a different scope with its own price.
What do you get with Carbon—and when should you compare other films?
Carbon is a sensible choice when you want a clean appearance, more privacy and glare reduction at an accessible price. It also provides solar and UV protection. We install it for customers who want those benefits without spending for the higher heat-performance tiers.
We’ll help you choose an appropriate shade, install the film, inspect the finished work with you and explain how to care for it. Our job is to make sure you understand what you’re buying and what to expect from the installation.
If reducing the heat you feel through the glass is the main goal, compare Carbon XP, CeramicIR and Evolve. CXP steps up infrared performance, while CeramicIR and Evolve are our ceramic options. Evolve is the highest-performance film in our current lineup.
We have an infrared heat-lamp display in the showroom so you can feel the difference between films before deciding whether the upgrade is worth it to you. We’ll explain the product specifications too; the display demonstrates a difference under the lamp rather than predicting an exact cabin temperature.
UV protection, heat rejection and tint darkness are separate considerations. You don’t have to buy the most expensive film just to get strong UV protection. Our UV protection guide compares the film specifications and explains what the numbers mean.
Want CXP or ceramic pricing? Send your vehicle details and the windows you want covered through our car tint quote form. Tell us whether heat, appearance or both are the priority. You can request a comparison without choosing your film first.
How much does tinting the front two windows cost?
Two front door windows in SunTek Carbon cost $98 plus tax: $49 per window. This is a common request from truck and SUV owners whose rear windows already have dark factory privacy glass.
The number of individual panes matters. A Ford Transit configuration with a roll-down window and a separate fixed pane on each front side is four windows, not two. At the Carbon door-window rate, that example is 4 × $49 = $196 plus tax. Tell us the vehicle so we can count the coverage correctly.
My truck already has dark back windows. Why tint them?
One of the most common conversations I have with customers starts with whether their vehicle is already tinted. The back windows look dark, so it’s reasonable to think that part is already taken care of. But factory privacy glass and an applied layer of window film are different things.
If your goal is to bring the front windows closer to the rear windows’ appearance, a front-window installation may be all you want. When the goal is cabin comfort, we also discuss film over the rear privacy glass. The glass already has its own performance characteristics; darkness alone doesn’t tell us what they are. An appropriate solar-control film can add heat rejection.
Once we talk through that distinction, customers often choose to have film installed on the rear glass too. For the four-door-truck Carbon example, that changes the scope from $98 for the front two to $275 for sides and back—a $177 difference before tax.
In the video, I look for a film edge near the top of a roll-down window. A close installation can make that edge difficult to see, so we can inspect it if you’re unsure. The finished example uses CXP 35 because the customer wanted additional performance without darkening the glass too much. Film over privacy glass still changes the finished light transmission; we consider the existing glass and nighttime visibility when choosing a shade.
What costs extra?
Visor strip: $59 plus tax
A visor strip is a band of film across the upper portion of the windshield. It’s $59 plus tax and can be added to a front-window or sides-and-back installation. It covers that upper section only and is separate from full-windshield film.
Full-windshield film
Film across the windshield’s available glass area is quoted separately, with CXP, CeramicIR and Evolve options. Include windshield coverage in your request so we can explain the options and give you a total for the work you want.
Windshield coverage and film selection must meet the requirements that apply to the vehicle. A light-looking film is not automatically legal. Read our Arizona windshield and window-tint requirements before choosing coverage.
Sunroofs and panoramic roofs
Roof glass is quoted separately. A standard sunroof and a large panoramic roof are different jobs, so include that request with your vehicle information. Don’t assume roof coverage is part of a sides-and-back quote.
Existing-film removal
The installation prices in this guide do not include removing old film and adhesive. Tell us which windows already have film, including film installed by a dealership. We’ll include the removal needed for those windows in your quote. Factory privacy glass itself is not an applied film layer to peel off.
Can you mix film lines?
Yes. You can choose Carbon for the sides and back and a higher-performance film for the windshield, where that coverage is appropriate. Tell us your priorities and we can price that combination. You don’t have to upgrade every window to the same tier.
How to compare window-tint quotes
Two quotes can look very different because they cover different work. Before deciding which is the better value, ask these questions:
- Which exact film is included? Ask for the manufacturer and product line. “Carbon” or “ceramic” alone doesn’t identify a specific product.
- Which windows are included? Confirm sides and back, front windows, windshield, fixed panes and roof glass as applicable.
- Does the total include tax and removal? Those can change what you actually pay.
- What does the performance figure measure? An infrared-rejection percentage and total solar energy rejection describe different measurements. Compare the same metric for comparable shades.
- What warranty and follow-up support come with it? Ask what is covered, what documentation you receive and who to contact if there’s a problem.

At Aladdins, we’ll walk through your options, inspect the completed installation with you and explain drying, curing and care. Our car window tinting service page covers more of what to expect from the appointment.
Visiting our Peoria shop from Phoenix or Glendale
Automotive installations take place at 9192 W. Cactus Road, Suite D, Peoria, AZ 85381. We don’t offer mobile automotive tinting. These are Aladdins’ prices for work at this shop, not an average of every tint shop in the Valley.
Phoenix drivers: get your quote before the trip
Phoenix covers a lot of ground. Before making the drive, send your year, make and model, the windows you want tinted and whether any film needs removal. We can work through pricing and the expected appointment length first, so you can plan around the actual job. Our Phoenix service-area page explains more about visiting us for automotive work.
Glendale drivers: compare films at the showroom
If you’re coming from Glendale and still deciding whether an upgrade is worth it, you’re welcome to compare the films on our heat display at the nearby Peoria shop. Bring your questions about the glass you already have and the comfort you want. See our Glendale service-area page for more about the services available.
Most sides-and-back installations take about two hours. Removal and additional coverage can change that. You can arrange to drop off the vehicle or use our waiting lounge, with snacks, drinks and entertainment, while we work.
Window-tint pricing questions
Does a darker tint cost more?
No. Within the same film line, choosing a different available shade does not change our installation price. Film type and coverage affect the quote. We’ll also discuss visibility and the requirements for the windows being tinted.
Is ceramic tint worth the extra money?
It can be when stronger heat performance is a priority. Request a comparison for your vehicle and come feel the heat display before deciding. Carbon, CXP, CeramicIR and Evolve give you different ways to balance budget and performance.
Does a truck’s sliding rear window cost extra?
For our four-door-truck sides-and-back installation, a one-piece rear window and a three-piece rear window with a slider are treated the same. Existing-film removal is a separate charge if needed.
Can I get a quote for a coupe, van or single-cab truck?
Yes. Send your year, make and model, the windows you want tinted and any information about existing film. We’ll quote the specific vehicle, including configurations outside the table above. Use our car tint quote form or call 623-388-3110.
What would you like tinted?
Send your year, make and model, the windows you want covered and whether any film needs removal. Not sure which film to choose? Tell us what you want to improve and we’ll help you compare the options. Choose your preferred contact method on the form and we’ll follow up with pricing.
